Getting a ticket for WordCamp 2019 should also get you to this very special thing we’re working on: an introductory WordPress workshop for kids!
The WordPress for Kids workshop will take place right on Contributor Day (Aug. 23, 2019), which is just a day removed before the WordCamp conference on Aug. 24 and 25. It will be held at Skylab Workspace, CPN Business Center, General Luna St, Iloilo City
Why have your kid join the WordPress workshop for kids?
It’s pretty simple, really: your child might make up the next generation of WordPress developers and creatives. If so, it’s important for them to have a basic knowledge of it as early as possible!
In addition, having your kid join said workshop could benefit him or her with the following:
- To educate them on the more productive and proper ways they can use the internet
- To hone their skills in developing or creating quality content using WordPress
- To spur their creativity in terms of discovering various approaches for using their own little space on the web in the safest way possible
Sure, I would like for my child to join the workshop! Where do I sign up?
It’s very easy to have your kid registered to the workshop. Just observe the following steps:
- You must have bought a ticket for WordCamp 2019.
- You can have your child signed up if s/he is aged from 9 to 14 years of age.
- Each participant is required to bring his/her own laptop/iPad/tablet and must have a working knowledge of using the internet.
Please note that we can only accept up to fifteen (15) child participants to the workshop, so a “first come, first served” policy is strictly observed.
You can get a free ticket by selecting “WordPress Workshop for Kids(8.23.2019)” from the tickets page.
