Do you have an awesome workshop idea you want to share at WordCamp Iloilo 2019? We’d love to have you! If you want to apply as a speaker, please use this link.
Last year’s workshops were jam-packed and did not have enough time and space to allow attendees to transfer. Which is why this year, we are going to have a whole day workshop that will cover tons of topics and attendees will be allowed to transfer (we heard you loud and clear and we want to have all our attendees the best experience possible).
We will have two tracks for this year: the Beginners and Advanced tracks and will cover topics ranging from WordPress Web Design/Development, Security, SEO and Blogging.
How long should my topic be?
We are planning to have the following formats for the workshops:
- Classroom session – 90 minutes in total, can be a demo or a full workshop if you think it will fit the schedule.
- Deep-dive session – 180 minutes, choose this if you are planning to have attendees follow through and also let us know if you require attendees to bring laptops.
The workshop sessions will take place in the second floor of ICC and will be in two rooms that can hold 80-100 attendees in all. It will be held on the first day of WCILOILO, August 24. We will have 10 minute breaks in between sessions which will be enough to give attendees a chance to gather their thoughts before the next workshop.
What is the application deadline and process?
- Call for Workshops will be open until 15 June
- We’ll be selecting workshops from 1 June until 1 July
- Selected workshops will be informed starting 15 June
- Workshop announcements will start 1 July
If you’d like to propose multiple workshops, please submit the form multiple times, once for each workshop.
