Get Your Exclusive WordCamp Iloilo Batchoy T-shirt Before It Is Too Late

Iloilo City is home to fashionable people. And nothing says cool fashion guru quite like a #WapuuBatchoy t-shirt. These awesome shirts are only available for WordCamp Iloilo 2018, you won’t  get them anywhere else. You can, however, own one, just buy a WordCamp Iloilo ticket.

Tickets are selling like hotcakes and we can’t guarantee t-shirt sizes, and if you wait until the last minute there’s a possibility you might not get one. These shirts are limited edition prints and once they’re gone, they’re GONE. T-shirts are only guaranteed to those who purchase their tickets by August 6th. That means you have a week (from today) to get your tickets and secure your t-shirt.

But then again, WordCamp Iloilo is a day of fun, engagement and learning – the tshirt, lunch, doughnuts, coffee and swags are just secondary. We have gathered some of the top speakers of the tech community both local and international and we guarantee you will find something that will tickle your fancy. So join us in the first WordCamp Iloilo and together let’s make memories and learn!

Our awesome banner

We LOVE our banner and it was the inspiration for the entire WordCamp Iloilo theme. And that is all thanks to one talented lady who graciously allowed us to use her work and we would like to thank her officially. To Justine Win Cañete, you are AWESOME and the WordPress Iloilo community would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Call for Sponsors

WordCamp Iloilo 2018 is looking for generous sponsors to support the growth of the local WordPress community!

WordCamp is a non-profit event so we rely on funding from sponsors to make the event a success. Any contribution that you provide for our community will both help make WordCamp Iloilo possible and get your brand in front of the passionate type of people who should know about it – the type who go to events on weekends to talk shop. Our attendees include designers, developers, bloggers, small business owners, entrepreneurs, educators, and students from throughout the Iloilo Province and across the country. In order to drive costs down for our attendees, we look to sponsors to help make WordCamp part of this thriving open-source community.

Call for Speakers

NOTE: Call for Speaker form CLOSED. Thank you so much to everyone who submitted their talks. We will be contacting approved speakers soon.

WordPress Iloilo is actively seeking a wide variety of topics and a diverse speaker pool. You don’t have to be a professional speaker, if you are passionate about your topic and want to genuinely help out the community – we would love to have you.

WordCamps are volunteer driven events and speaking is also considered a way of volunteering at the event, hence it isn’t a paid gig or linked with sponsorship in any way. In fact, speakers are expected to pay for their own travel and accommodation.

What’s in it for you?

  • You’ll be sharing your expertise live, with a warm and enthusiastic audience.
  • Being a professional speaker is NOT required. HOWEVER, you must know what you are talking about.
  • Your desire to give back to the community.
  • In your speaker submission, let us know how your talk can relate to a WordPress audience.
  • We’re always on the lookout for new speakers of ALL ages and backgrounds. We also would love to see veteran speaker submissions.
  • You have to know how to spell WordPress properly (cap the P!) and Respect the WordPress logo/trademarks.
  • Feel free to be creative and apply ideas for group discussions, Q&As, Demos, Workshops and anything that you could manage in an auditorium / classroom environment.

Call for Volunteers

Note: Volunteer applications will be closed on June 3, 2018 at 11:59PM.

This being the first WordCamp Iloilo, we can’t do it alone.

WE NEED YOU!

If you love WordPress, you can be a WordCamp volunteer. You don’t need previous experience, we just need your energy and enthusiasm. You won’t be doing this all day – you can take a break from your duties and see any specific conference talk you want. We just ask that you make sure that everyone is having a good time and that includes you.

As a volunteer you’ll get to meet and speak with attendees from all over the world, rub elbows with our speakers, organizers and much more. Plus, volunteers get free tickets and receive exclusive volunteer-only swags.

As a volunteer at WordCamp Iloilo 2018, you will:

  • Receive a complimentary volunteer’s ticket for the entire event
  • Get an inside look at the planning stages of the conference
  • Have the opportunity to meet speakers from all over the world
  • Be on the ground, meeting WordCamp attendees
  • Attend a speakers/volunteers’ pre-party (TBC if we have the budget)
  • Receive exclusive volunteer-only swags
